The rabbi gave a talk about Jewish beliefs and practices, interspersed with history and the derivation of Hebrew and Aramaic words, and also formed an immediate bond with Nasma who speaks a contemporary form of that ancient language! Show-and-Tell included unrolling part of one of the Torahs and – because of the recent celebration of Sukkot – a demonstration of the use of the lulav and etrog. |
